About Parent’s Day
Being a parent is one of the biggest joys and responsibilities that cannot be described in words. All the love, care, affection, and hard work that parents put towards nurturing their kids is beyond comparison. Therefore, it is important to recognize the efforts and sacrifices of parents towards providing their kids with a healthy and balanced life.
Parents’ Day is the perfect time to show gratitude and appreciation towards your parent’s for blessing you with a life worth living. It is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of July every year. This year, Parents’ Day will be observed on 28th July. Use this day as an opportunity to honor the dedication and efforts of your parents and raising the family and keeping it close together. It is believed that celebrating Parents’ Day help kids realize the importance of parents in their lives and strengthen their relationship further. In today’s busy world, this day brings kids and parents together to celebrate and spend some quality time with each other.
Parents’ Day was officially recognized in the year 1994 by an act of law during the tenure of President Bill Clinton after he signed a congressional resolution for “recognizing, uplifting, supporting and helping the role of parents in the rearing of children.” The resolution aims to establish the crucial role of parents in bringing up children. The bill was actually introduced by Republican Senator Trent Lott, which was supported by members of the Unification Church. This day supports the celebration of all types of parents, including same-sex parents.
